Pastor Adamio Charles Boddie

Pastor Adamio Charles Boddie was born in Washington, D.C., and transitioned from a faithful church go-er to a permanent servant of God by accepting Jesus Christ  as Lord and Savior on February 1, 1998 at the Joshua Group Ministries. Educated in the District of Columbia Public Schools and a Business Administration graduate of Howard University, it was during his final semester of completing an MBA at Johns Hopkins University that he accepted his calling to preach  the gospel on April 13th, 2000. He was licensed and ordained by the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church on September 27, 2001 and June 12, 2005 respectively.

While there he served as the Youth Minister, fulfilling his burning passion to share the good news of salvation to the future leaders of tomorrow. He also served and as the worship leader for First Fridays Ministry, a ministry, in coalition with four other churches, that provided the necessary spiritual encouragement,  growth and guidance to assist today’s generation of young adults throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area in meeting the vast professional, social, familial and economic demands of today’s society.

After graduating summa cum laude in May 2005 from Howard University with a Master of Divinity,  Pastor Boddie accepted his calling to serve as the Assistant Pastor at  the Third Street Church of God. During his tenure, he served as a financial advisor, youth and young adult pastor, minister of visitation, advisor to the Seniors ministry, and church liaison to the Urban Prayer Breakfast, a church outreach ministry that ministered God’s word and provided a hot meal to the homeless community daily. He also served as the Community Outreach Minister, receiving the 2007 Hero of the Year award from the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Association.

After years of preparation in various ministerial positions, Pastor Boddie accepted the call and founded New Hope Community Fellowship Church, an interdenominational church on October 9, 2008. with the vision, “Living with Hope as the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 17 20:21) After 8 years of pastoring and much prayer with his mentor Dr. Trent, New Hope Community Fellowship merged with Florida Avenue Baptist Church on February 1, 2016,. There he serves as the Assistant Pastor for Community outreach, Men’s ministry and young adults. Pastor Boddie continues to provide a daily prayer call that he started in 2012 – ‘POWER UP with the word of God!’ He believes one must always start the day studying God’s holy word in order to present oneself as one approved, rightly dividing forth the Word of God!

As God’s committed and dedicated servant – a living sacrifice unto the Lord Pastor Boddie also responded to Jesus’ great commission, sharing the gospel not only locally and nationally but also internationally in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas as a missionary.

A 2nd generation Washingtonian, he is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.

He has 2 Doberman Pinchers named Judah (Praise) Faith, and his hobbies include reading, mentoring, fitness, community outreach, football, basketball, and tennis.
